Strategic Leadership:
· Develop and implement a global HSE strategy in line with company objectives, local regulations, and industry best practices.
· Ensure alignment of HSE initiatives with overall corporate goals, values, and compliance standards.
· Provide strong leadership in HSE performance across multiple international sites.
HSE Policy Development & Implementation:
· Develop, update, and enforce global HSE policies, procedures, and standards.
· Monitor and ensure adherence to relevant local, national, and international regulations.
· Identify and mitigate any risks associated with the health, safety, and environmental impacts across various sites.
Compliance & Auditing:
· Lead the design and execution of HSE audits and inspections to ensure compliance with internal standards and regulatory requirements.
· Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant environmental, health, and safety laws in all jurisdictions.
· Monitor and report on HSE compliance levels to senior management and regulatory bodies.
Risk Management & Incident Investigation:
· Oversee the development and implementation of risk assessments, emergency response procedures, and accident prevention strategies.
· Lead investigations into workplace incidents, including accidents, injuries, and environmental breaches, to determine root causes and ensure corrective actions are implemented.
· Recommend and support continuous improvements to HSE systems based on investigation outcomes.
· Ensure Incident reports are generated in a timely manner.
Training & Development:
· Ensure that all employees across the organization receive the necessary HSE training, including induction and refresher courses.
· Develop and manage HSE training programs that align with company goals and regulatory requirements.
· Foster a culture of safety through regular communication, training, and awareness campaigns.
Reporting & Performance Metrics:
· Regularly report on HSE performance, metrics, and key performance indicators (KPIs) to the local and global management teams.
· Analyze trends in HSE data, including accident/incident rates, near-misses, environmental impact, etc., to identify improvement opportunities.
· Prepare and present detailed reports to regulatory authorities, industry bodies, and other external stakeholders when required.
Stakeholder Engagement:
· Act as the primary point of contact for all HSE matters for internal stakeholders, including site managers, department heads, and employees.
· Collaborate with external stakeholders, including regulatory bodies, auditors, and suppliers, to ensure ongoing compliance and environmental sustainability.
· Build and maintain relationships with local HSE authorities and organizations in various countries to stay informed about changes in legislation.
